The Night Circus

This group project was inspired by the book 'The Night Circus', about a magic circus moving through time, mostly set in the Victorian era. Our costume was based off of the character 'Bailey', who is the circus proprietor. It is a two piece suit, the waistcoat silhouette being a combination of Victorian menswear and some cutting edge elements, like the layered cuff and asymmetrical lapels. The cape was made  draping a big circle of fabric straight onto the model, then trimming the edge to get the perfect pattern.
